Hello,
my name is Harald Egger, I was born on March 14, 1989 in Merano (IT) and live in Lana (IT). I am married and have a son and a daughter.
I am a passionate software developer with over 20 years of experience and I enjoy working daily on various projects and on myself.
I am used to communicate in German, Italian, and English in writing and speech.
Education
I attended primary and middle school in Lana. Afterwards, I continued at the technical high school in the computer science track. I completed all three levels with top marks. I then studied computer science at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, which I finished with a bachelor's degree and 107 out of 110 points. In parallel with my studies I started working, which is why I decided against a master's degree.
Career
In 2010, the company Wolftank Systems from Bolzano recruited me to work for them. There I focused intensively on “software development” and “IT” and was part of the technical department. In my daily work I took care of the development of various safety systems and automation for gas stations. I spent an exciting eight years there.
After that I moved to Gargazon to the company Zfx Innovation (formerly part of Zimmer Biomet, currently part of the ZimVie group). I worked there for eight years as a “Senior Software Engineer.” My responsibilities were the development of new technologies, especially in the area of acquisition, processing, and production of 3D data.
Since April 2025 I have been working at Tanzer Maschinenbau in Lana. My main area of responsibility is the development and further development of automation solutions in the logistics sector for plastic containers. Key fields are PLC programming, HMI (Human-Machine-Interface) development, and AI in the camera area.
In parallel, from 2011 I was involved for three years in the startup Neamusica (from the United Kingdom) as “Head of Software Development.” There I worked on an online platform for music talents. It included exciting technologies such as independent streaming of music videos, autonomous hosting of scalable systems, and statistical data analysis.
